The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos DLC & Next Gen Improvements Patch Now Available

Murder on Eridanos adds an enticing interstellar whodunit for players to solve. Rizzo’s spokesperson, Halcyon Helen, has been discovered dead and it’s up to you to untangle this web of mystery, deceit, and secrecy. You’ll have to uncover crime scene clues and unlock different quest routes with a brand new gadget, the Discrepancy Amplifier, and track down a plethora of suspects with larger-than-life personalities.

Murder on Eridanos also raises the level cap by 3, adds new science weapons, armor sets as well as more skill customization options.

DLC for The Outer Worlds requires the base game and the player will have needed to progress past Monarch to access the Murder on Eridanos content.

Murder on Eridanos is available on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X (through backwards compatibility), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC  for $14.99 and Xbox Game Pass Users will receive a 10% discount on the DLC. The expansion will release on Nintendo Switch later this year.  Murder on Eridanos is also be available as part of an expansion pass which includes the first DLC, Peril on Gorgon, for $24.99.

Today, alongside the expansion, there is an update that removes the framerate cap when played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.  This update also allows players attempting to play an expansion with a save beyond the “point of no-return” option to load onboard the Unreliable, allowing them to play the expansion without need of creating a new game or character.
