Embark Studios will host the second “Tech Test” for player-versus-player-versus-environment survival extraction shooter ARC Raiders from April 30 to May 4 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, the developer announced. Registration is available via the official website.

“Over the past six months, we’ve worked hard to expand the core experience, based on community feedback,” said ARC Raiders executive producer Aleksander Grondal in a press release. “This is our chance to see how those changes perform at scale. We’re especially eager to gather feedback on progression, the combat experience, cross-platform performance, and how the experience feels now that it’s more expansive and layered.”

Here are the details:

Running from April 30 to May 4, Tech Test 2 gives players across PC and—now for the first time—consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) a chance to explore the lethal wilderness of the Rust Belt, battle ARC machines, and scavenge for high-stakes loot in the game’s expansive player-versus-player-versus-environment sandbox.

In addition to a range of tweaks and improvements, Tech Test 2 introduces a wider range of ARC enemies, more weapons, gear, and gadgets, much deeper player progression and crafting systems, and a preview of ARC Raiders‘ upcoming Battle Pass.

ARC Raiders blends high-risk surface scavenging with strategic survival and crafting elements underground. Players take on the role of Raiders—rogue gunslingers who navigate a crumbling world filled with towering ARC machines, rival Raiders, and the ever-present threat of ambush. With solo and squad play (up to three players), each run becomes a gamble between what you risk and what you stand to gain.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of high-stakes extraction and survival games, or new to the genre, ARC Raiders invites you to carve your own path, your own story, and your own fate—as a squad or a lone Raider.

ARC Raiders is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in 2025 for $39.99.
