ArcRunner – Review
ArcRunner, a cyberpunk action roguelite game developed by TrickJump Games, was recently launched on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. Later this year, the game will also be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the Xbox S/X.
Player characters in ArcRunner take on the role of synthetic androids, in which the game’s most important tactical operator is hidden from view. Destroy the zone Guardians, arrive on KORE, and bring sanity back to the world. The player will be attacked by an onslaught of aggressive robot foes, each one designed to kill them.
The game’s roster is diverse enough to accommodate any player’s preferred approach to battle. Players can enhance their android with state-of-the-art enhancements after completing any level. Explore a wide array of destructive options, make new online friends, and band together to rescue The Arc.
Together, up to three players can take on the aggressive computer. Players will explore a variety of zones, each with its own set of procedurally generated levels, as the game progresses. Each run through the game will be different because to the wide variety of levels, which span from a bleak cyberpunk city to the luxurious Eden Heights.
The Soldier, the Ninja, and the Hacker are the three playable classes. All the playable characters have special skills, weaponry, and advantages that may be tailored to individual play styles. While the army relies on strength and adaptability, the Ninja thrives on speed and stealth. On the other side, the Hacker is an expert at covert operations. It has a special strategy for attacking and destroying its foes.
After passing through The Arc, the player will have access to powerful new weapons including the Demolisher, a shotgun that fires in clusters, and the Plasma Bow, which has pinpoint accuracy. Each run, the weapons accumulate experience points that can be used to enhance them. In the cryochamber, players can purchase potent upgrades to boost their damage and health, unlock additional weapon modifier slots, and equip weapons that drastically alter their abilities.
