Thus, I had a great time participating in the excitement of catching fish after fish.

So, the performance is fine, but the gameplay and setting were what really piqued my interest. The developers certainly didn’t let anyone down, as two distinct game modes have been included. To start, there’s a regular, no frills mode that provides access to a comprehensive tutorial and support. Second, if you find the normal difficulty too easy, try the realistic setting. You’ll find that many of the aids have been taken away in this section, making the action significantly more difficult. This is a great option because there is room for growth and development in addition to its many benefits.

It was the breathtakingly beautiful settings, however, that really struck me. Those interested in fishing will be blown away by the details of these six actual locations. Thailand, Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Russia, and the United States all appear in the distance. You’ll also recognise features from places like Jackson Park, Zalasie Summer Resort, the Kiel Canal, the Mountain River, Kurile Lake, and Blue Bay. Unique species of fish and dangerous predators abound in each of these environments. It was incredibly interesting to test your skills against savage marine life. Also, the spectacular variety of settings is a great asset to the story.

The beautiful settings were nice, but what you really need is a formidable foe to track down. Thankfully, this aspect of fishing is also taken care of in Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2! You’ll need more brains and patience than ever before to navigate the ever-changing water mechanics and advanced fish AI systems. So, if you want to catch fish, you need to learn every fishing technique there is. You can use a wide variety of legal fishing gear, including spinning, float, and ground techniques.

Included are industry-leading products from Sakura and Robinson to up the realism. Additionally, there are two hundred different items available for purchase to boost your odds. You’ll be picking out new fishing gear like reels, rods, bait, and so on. This isn’t just going to be any old mindless fishing trip thanks to the variety of gear and locations on offer.

Sixty unique, realistic fish species are also available for capture. It’s important to get to know each of these creatures and their unique characteristics. Failure to perfect one’s technique will result in missing out on the best opportunities to reel in the largest and most prized fish. This was fantastic because it made the experience consistently satisfying.

The lack of a skill tree from a simulation game is inexcusable. It is possible to level up your character by catching specific fish and completing quests. Okay, so this wasn’t strictly required at the start of the game, but as the game progresses, you’ll need all the help you can get to defeat some truly monstrous sea creatures.

You’ll have a variety of quests to complete in addition to working through the skill tree. Tasks are broken up into manageable chunks like once a day, once a week, and once a month. If you succeed, you will be rewarded with various items that can be used to level up your character or upgrade your gear. Fortunately, if you fail a mission, it doesn’t matter because you can always try again.

Thankfully, that goal has been met by Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2! It stands out from the crowd with its many unique settings, detailed fish, high-tech gear, and innovative features. Also, I really liked how the new underwater camera can record and display footage of every fish that swims by your lure. This fresh viewpoint completely revamps the fishing genre and fills in some crucial gaps in understanding. The shadows and lighting in every scene were also superb. Seeing a fish dart out of the shadows or feel the sunlight on its scales was a surreal experience. To sum up, the work of the developers is outstanding and impressive.

The high-quality, soothing music continues. As you progress through the levels, you’ll experience an ever-increasing sense of calm as you take in the ambient noise around you. The underwater music and effects are excellent as well. Sounds of the alien world are muted and far away, taking you to a place that is both unfamiliar and unsettling.

Although I prefer games with simple controls, I recognise that simulation games require more skill. Here, the realistic feel of Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 is boosted by the game’s moderately complex approach. You’ll have a great sense of mastery thanks to the realistic implementation of speed, drift, tension, and other subtle elements. As a result, without the helpful guide, it might have been too much to handle. The first level serves as a tutorial, detailing the basic mechanics and control scheme. The clarity with which you were brought up to speed made this a wonderful resource.

You can try out a wide variety of tactics, as there are six enormous fishing spots to explore and a long list of fishing gear to acquire.
