Sci-fi action-adventure game XEL was created by Tiny Roar and published by Assemble Entertainment; it contains a top-down maze map that players must navigate in order to locate various items, puzzles, and dungeons. Players will enjoy the game’s hack-and-slash style of gameplay, but the game’s mechanics leave something to be desired. The game’s block and parry mechanism, as well as your endurance, come into play when facing off against the enormous robots and natives of the island.

Attractive and packed with levels, the map is a joy for gamers to explore. Since Reid is stranded in a strange land without any recollection of how she got there, we feel compelled to aid her in her quest to piece together her history. Even though this enhances the overall experience, it’s important to note that any serious bugs in the game may cause you to lose focus very quickly.

Although XEL’s gameplay shares similarities with that of The Legend of Zelda, it also introduces a brand new layer for players to discover. Being able to go back and forth in time because to Reid’s time-traveling skills is a unique and exciting aspect of the game. We had a good time playing XEL despite the many technical issues, and we plan to come back after they’ve been fixed. Developers have already released a patch, so hopefully the following drawbacks won’t discourage gamers from venturing into XEL’s realm.

The overall wonderful experience of XEL is considerably tarnished by the game’s flaws, glitches, and uneven gameplay. Following the shards of an amnesiac protagonist’s story may seem to pique the curiosity of gamers and encourage them to venture further. Unfortunately, there are a few things that take you out of the experience, and they can be really annoying when you’re trying to solve puzzles or battle enemies. Although gamers with a propensity for puzzle-solving 3D action-adventure games are invited to check out XEL on their own, we recommend waiting for future updates before making a purchase.
