Animal Shelter – Review
Love this game so much, it’s adorable! So far, it’s been a lot of fun. What you’d expect from the game’s title is exactly what you’ll get. You raise and care for both dogs and cats in your own animal shelter, and then find them loving homes with individuals and families as well. To begin with, you can only take in either cats or dogs, but as you progress through the game and complete checklists and tasks, you’ll be able to take in both types of animals.
Some of the activities in the game include:
-Acquire animals to care for, feed, and play with; a variety of dog and cat-friendly toys and props are available, including balls, scratch posts, lasers, and more.
– Become a veterinarian and work to improve the health of cats and dogs by bandaging their wounds, removing ticks with tweezers, drawing blood for testing, and administering eye drops. As well as providing them with medication and pills. (This will necessitate the purchase and unlocked placement of the vet building in the yard.)
-A photo studio, which I adore because it allows me to dress up my pets in various outfits and have them perform a variety of poses.
-A separate building for dogs to wash in.
In order to expand your shelter’s land, you’ll need to collect expansion tickets, which can be purchased with in-game currency. The expansion tickets you receive as you upgrade and expand your shelter are completely free.
Refills and supplies for your shelter animals can be ordered online.
Just like in real life, you must pay close attention to and show affection to each of your pets. After a certain amount of time, if you don’t take care of the animals, they will be taken away from you. Since purchasing and setting up a photo studio is out of the question for the time being, you’ll have to settle for a basic camera that prints and scans photos for use in your office. They’ll still be on your game once you scan them in. You get a much better camera with the photo studio, and the images are automatically saved on a computer in the photo shoot building.
Adopting a pet is as simple as creating an ad, uploading photos of your pet, and then contacting anyone who expresses an interest in that pet or any of your other dogs or cats. Cats and dogs come in all shapes and sizes; you have to match them to their owners based on specific traits. The traits are predetermined in the game, but you still have to make a decision based on your own judgement. Some of the traits don’t matter as much as others, but it’s best to get some matching from my experience and the adopters will give you money if they truly enjoy and appreciate the animals.
There is a free demo available if you’re interested in seeing if you share my passion for animals and pets as a whole.
