World War Z Aftermath – Spotlight

I really enjoyed my time with World War Z when it was first released last year. The massive zombie hordes were really impressive, and the gunplay was tight. The level designs were vibrant and varied, which was especially refreshing when compared to other zombie shooters in the market. It was bummer that the main characters were barely fleshed out, and display very little charm and personality. But thankfully, the core gameplay more than made up for it.

Now, with the launch of Aftermath, the game is in a much better place, though much of the complains still exist. The inclusion of new maps, and game modes is great. I also really enjoyed the first person mode, though it’s a bummer that you can’t switch camera perspectives on the fly, not can you properly aim down the sights. However, the new maps feels fresh and have some really memorable moments.

Pros:
Looks awesome
The hordes are impressive
Tight gameplay
Great map and level design

Cons:
Forgettable characters
Can’t aim down the sights

Score – 8/10
