Board games have always had a rich sense of imagination imbued in them, and Curious Expedition 2 takes that into a video game format in an excellent manner. Curious Expedition 2 is a turn based adventure game that’s as much about exploration as it is about the treasures and stories you uncover along the way. You set forth in hunt of treasure, and soon meet some local tribes people who offer hospitality. The game’s roguelike nature also acts a great learning tool for future expeditions, in case you need a few attempts understanding the game’s focus on resource management.
The combat is not too tough, though a few encounters might have you on your toes. Honestly, if being locked in has you itchy for adventure, Curious Expedition 2 delivers a lot of it. My hours with game have been mostly joyful and ever so slightly stressful.
