Death’s Door – Spotlight

deaths-door-key-visual

Off the start I want to say – Death’s Door is kind of awesome! IF you’re into fast paced isometric hack and slash games, with a good art style, then Death’s Door will definitely appeal to you. You play as a crow, who’s also a Grim Reaper. The job – retrieve souls. Things go wrong, as expected, and soul gets stolen.

The story id not where this game shines, but the game play is near sublime. Attacks have a great impact, and movement is smooth. The enemies also pose a failry good challenge with bosses being the highlight. The world is also charming, with moments of delightful respite.

Pros:
Interesting premise
Great combat
Beautiful visual design

Cons:
Minor repetition
A few performance issues

Score – 9/10
